Innovation and Scam

Innovation and Scam: Two Frequently Intertwined Phenomena

COBOD International was founded during a period when 3D construction printing technology was unfamiliar and its potential largely untapped. In 2017, we demonstrated its potential by 3D printing Europe’s first 3D printed building in Copenhagen, establishing ourselves as innovators in the field. Since then, we have continuously progressed, with the construction industry gradually adopting our technology.

Emergence of a New Technology

The adoption of new technologies is not an overnight process; rather it evolves gradually and is driven by forward-thinking individuals who lead its implementation and effectively convey its benefits to a broader audience. This gradual process of adoption can also be seen when one looks back at the implementation of cell phones. As Henrik Lund-Nielsen, COBOD’s Founder and General Manager, said:

“Initially, cell phones were rare and owned by few, now they are ubiquitous and an essential part of everyday life”.

Much like in the early days of the cell phone, 3D construction printing technology is still in its early developmental stages. Consequently, both its applications areas and benefits are still being explored and defined, promising an even more profound impact on the construction industry in the future. Presently, the technology enhances efficiency, reduces costs, and promotes sustainability by being more accurate and completing tasks faster than conventional construction methods. To ensure that our technology also meets our customers’ needs in the future, we remain committed to learning from every project and continuously enhancing our technology.

Responsibility to Inform: Beware of Scams

With the growing impact of 3DCP on the construction industry, coupled with the rising interest in the technology, there are unfortunately also people who want to use it for their personal benefits. In recent weeks, we have observed instances of individuals exploiting COBOD’s good reputation, using our name to perpetrate fraud. These individuals have created fake accounts and falsely promised non-existing services to those interested in the 3D construction industry.

At COBOD, we exclusively focus on the development and sale of 3D printing construction technology. We have no involvement in financial investments or withdrawals, and we are not affiliated with any activities of that nature. We are actively reporting any misuse of our company name.

We also want to support you in identifying potential scams.

At COBOD, we exclusively communicate through our official channels, including our Social Media Accounts: LinkedIn (COBOD International) and Instagram (cobodinternational), as well as via email, with all our mail-addresses ending in @cobod.com.
