UCC HOLDING

Strategic Collaboration with Qatar-Based Stakeholders

In 2024, COBOD partnered with the UCC Holding, a multi-actor initiative focused on modernizing construction delivery in Qatar. Led by national authorities and institutional stakeholders, the consortium aims to test and implement industrialized construction methods for social and public infrastructure. COBOD’s role centers on providing the core automation system, technical training, and deployment support.

The first phase of the collaboration involves the construction of two schools, one already underway, using COBOD’s 3D construction printing technology. The project is executed with Qatari teams on site and designed around long-term integration into local delivery frameworks.

Institutional Adoption Requires Proven Execution

UCC’s choice of COBOD was driven by the ability to deliver a standardized construction system that meets institutional performance expectations. The solution offers flexibility in design and material use, while supporting repeatable construction across multiple locations with consistent output quality. Execution is organized around clear roles, pre-defined KPIs, and rigorous training protocols.

The project reflects a broader trend: public-sector actors are no longer exploring 3D printing as a prototype, they are integrating it into national construction plans where reliability and scalability are non-negotiable.
