Seeking inventors, creators, and hackers to help us shape the construction industry’s future using 3D printing! COBOD International A/S is the world-leading company in automation of the construction industry, and we are now looking at a major expansion of our R&D efforts. We therefore seek talented and aspirational software, mechanical and automation engineers as well as inventors to join our research and development team. COBOD International is a technology company developing the world’s best 3D concrete printers to disrupt the construction sector and change the way we think about architecture.
To expand our R&D efforts, we are seeking talented individuals to help us develop new functionalities, features and ways of controlling the next generation of construction automation products. You will be part of a vibrant and highly multidisciplinary team at COBOD International in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are rapidly growing, and you will be an integral part of a fast-paced team that develop improvements to our current product range as well as designing and prototyping new solutions. The Role

Work directly with our lead software developer in writing new control and visualization code for our printer systems. As a software developer you will become familiar with our current printer software products and G-code slicer (C++, QT, Open Cascade) before moving on to incorporating new features. Working in a small team, there is plenty of room for creativity, playing around with AR and VR, solving interesting problems and seeing your work come to life in the real world.

Degree or Training

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering
  • We are also interested in self-taught enthusiasts or hackers who have a solid understanding of writing software for machine control.

Preferred skills and experience

  • Solid and established software experience in C++
  • Experience working as part of a software team/group and using version control Experience writing testable and reliable software
  • Knowledge of sensor integration is a bonus
  • Fluent English (both written and verbal) as this is the company language Knowledge of and experience with 3D printing would be beneficial
